I'd much rather run in -10 degrees on the ice or through the freshly fallen snow than slog through the mess that is spring time.
One minute I was running on crunchy snow, the next I was ankle deep in murky, muddy water, then I was skating along on glare ice.
Kiva turned into a giant sloppy mess. When we got home she had ice balls in her underside fur and was sopping wet. She loves splashing through the puddles, but is not such a big fan of the slippery ice.
I'm looking forward to when the snow melts...well, given that we have 130-something inches of snow that might be awhile, so I'm at least going to look forward to when the sidewalks are mostly melted so I won't get stuck in anymore ice sink holes!
